“Talking with Leza was like attending a super fun slumber party where you stay up all night telling ghost stories and playing light as a feather, stiff as a board.”
Had a wonderful witchy time talking to Kailey Tedesco. The conversation flitted from the darkness to the light & back again, from horror, poetry, to ghosts, possessed dolls, crazy girl memoirs, getting married, religion, & the writing process. There are many layers to delve into. She is someone that is so bubbly on the surface, but when you hear about her life & her inspiration sources, you realize that there are dark currents flowing under that sunshiny surface. We ended up talking for 2 hours, which it did not feel like at all. She is the darkside Disney princess I wish existed. Her Lizzie Borden poetry collection is coming next year & I cannot wait.
