3 Trades That Need to Happen Before The NBA Trade Deadline

By Frank Koshel

Knicks send Joakim Noah to the Hornets for Nicholas Batum

Joakim Noah has the worst contract in the NBA, with $38 million still owed to him after this season. Batum has 3 more years on his deal with a cost of over $70 million, but Batum would actually be a useful 3 and D player for the Knicks and give rookie Frank Ntilikina someone to speak French with.

Grizzlies send Tyreke Evans and James Ennis to the Sixers for Jerryd Bayless and a lottery protected 1st round pick

Years of trusting the process has finally gotten the Sixers in playoff contention, this is the year for them to go for it and trade a mid 1st round pick for a player that provides what #1 pick Markelle Fultz was supposed to give Philly this season.

Heat send Goran Dragic, Justice Winslow, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Johnson, Wayne Ellington, Udonis Haslem, AJ Hammons and Rodney McGruder to the Cavs for LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and JR Smith.

The Cavs are not going to the Finals this season. They aren’t even getting out of the first round. LeBron is gone after this season. This trade is the sports equivalent on breaking up with your girlfriend before she dumps you, which is always the best way to go. Dan, get rid of that awful JR Smith contract and send LeBron and D-Wade back to Miami and get all-star Goran Dragic along with good young players like Justice Winslow and Sam Adebayo.
